project status report template
Steering-committee-ready weekly status report. RAG by workstream, top risks, decisions needed, next 14 days.
Most weekly status reports are written for the PM, not the audience. They are too long, too granular, and bury the one thing executives need: what is at risk and what decision do you need from us this week. This template inverts that order.
The first half-page is the executive summary: overall RAG, the three things that matter, and the one or two decisions needed. The second half is the detail: workstream RAG breakdown, top risks (severity 15+ from your RAID), upcoming milestones in the next 14 days, and changes since last report.
Generate the same report automatically from live data in Pocket PMO, the AI Project Team drafts each section using your actual RAID log, milestones and progress, and you edit before sending.

Template structure
Every section below appears in the downloadable PDF as a ready-to-fill table.

The PDF is fine. The live version is better: auto-fill from your project, full audit trail on every change, AI Project Team drafts the tricky sections, and steering committees see one canonical version, not a stale spreadsheet copy.
